The $780,000 Virgin Says She Hasn’t Lost Her Virginity

The Brazilian college student who attempted to sell her virginity through an online auction last year is hoping lightning will strike twice.
In October, 2012, Catarina Migliorini was offered $780,000 for her virginity from a Japanese millionaire who bid for the privilege through a controversial online auction.
That deal was never consummated, but now she is attempting to do it again through her own website, VirginsWanted2.com.
“Well, after being featured by so many media outlets in so many countries, I decided to actually auction off my virginity,” she told The Huffington Post by email via a translator.
The bidding ends Dec. 12, but Migliorini said the minimum bid for her to get into bed is $100,000. She told the Brazilian website PurePeople.com.br that her goal is to get $1.5 million.
Migliorini’s previous auction was part of a proposed documentary called Virgins Wanted being made by Australian filmmaker Justin Sisely.
The auction made Migliorini a celebrity and Playboy cover girl in her native country, but also aroused controversy and skepticism.

WARNING: Some photos may be NSFW In November 2012, after the auction, Brazil’s attorney general, Joao Pedro de Saboia Bandeira de Mello Filho, threatened Sisely with sex trafficking charges if the deal between Migliorini and Natsu took place.
Medical experts like Dr. Elizabeth Lyster, a board-certified gynecologist in Foster City, Calif., were incredulous, mainly because the time-honored technique of using an intact hymen to measure virginity is not foolproof, since it can be ruptured from activities like running or inserting a tampon.
“It causes a lot of problems in religious circles,” Lyster told The Huffington Post.
Migliorini disagreed with the doctor and said she is prepared to do whatever it takes to prove she is truly a virgin.
“I am willing to subject myself to any exams that are necessary,” she said. “When I say I am a virgin it’s because there is no one in the world that can prove the contrary. I never had sexual relations of any type with anyone, not vaginal, not anal and not oral.”
Migliorini said she pulled out of the original auction after she was introduced to the reputed auction winner, “Natsu.” She didn’t think he fit the description she had been given previously and became suspicious.
She also said she believes Sisely was trying to defraud her and others with his documentary.
“He wanted to forge words and phrases, situations and even feelings that did not exist,” she said. “For a while, I agreed but then I disagreed. To me, a real documentary must be something spontaneous.”
She also claims Sisely still owes her 20 percent of the money he is earning from the documentary.
Sisely has denied all of Migliorini’s allegations and claims she breached their contract on at least two occasions.
“Aside from that, she failed to show up on filming days on several occasions. After being warned,” he told HuffPost earlier this year. “After two years and three visa refusals trying to get her to Australia, she left the country for a fashion show in Brazil during filming.”
He also said the finished documentary will support his side of the story.
Based on the reaction to her first attempt at selling her virginity, Migliorini is prepared for negative comments and is OK with them.
“I know that this is not a very conventional decision, but it is my decision,” she said. “I am the sole owner of my own body. I am of legal age and have the right. I accept all criticism whether positive or negative, because talking is a right for all and is free.”
She also is fine with other women following her lead, such as “Shatuniha,” the 18-year-old girl from Siberia who recently sold her virginity for $27,000.
“Of course I don’t care,” she said. “The sun rises for all of us.”

The 6-Inch Alien’s Checkered Past

When a new documentary promised to unveil DNA tests on a 6-inch-tall humanoid found 10 years ago in Chile, everyone weighed in with an opinion.
UFO researchers hoped this might finally be proof of alien visitations. Skeptics were sure it was nothing more than shameless movie promotion.
The latest ripple in this controversy might be the most bizarre turn yet.
And by “ripple,” I mean Ripley — as in “Believe It or Not!”
The tiny mummified figure — better known as Ata (pictured at right in the above image) — was found in Chile’s Atacama Desert in 2003. It is featured in the recent documentary “Sirius.” Even after detailed X-rays, CAT scans and DNA analysis, questions are still being asked about Ata’s origin.
Genetic testing — while not totally conclusive yet — strongly suggests Ata is 91 percent human. But it’s the other 9 percent of unknown properties that still have experts scratching their heads. Further DNA analysis might help unravel the mystery.
Part of the controversy involves some scientists claiming Ata was a human who lived six to eight years, while others insist Ata was a mummified aborted human fetus. You can’t have it both ways.
And now, meet Atta Boy (pictured at left in above image). Yes, Atta Boy, also around 6-inches tall, also from the Atacama Desert area as Ata, but reportedly from Bolivia or Peru.
Check out these rarely seen images of Atta Boy shared with HuffPost by Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
Ata From Chile, Meet Bolivia’s Atta Boy
A new book, “A Curious Man: The Strange and Brilliant Life of Robert ‘Believe It or Not!’ Ripley,” has emerged about the life of the globehopping millionaire of the 1930s. His passion for weird and strange things resulted in an international empire of books, cartoons, radio shows and museums dedicated to the strangest oddities of the world.
The book includes a little image from 1933 showing a 6-and-a-half-inch-tall figure standing on Ripley’s outstretched hand (see below). The caption refers to the diminutive human as Atta Boy, with a reference to the Peruvian Jivaro Indians (also known as the Shuar), known for their expertise in creating shrunken heads.
“I came across Atta Boy a few times in my research, Neal Thompson, author of “A Curious Man,” told The Huffington Post. “One thing Ripley was fascinated by was the miniaturization of the human form, for example, in the cultures where they practiced the shrinking of heads.
“As far as I know, regarding Atta Boy, Ripley didn’t leave behind any specific notes about where he obtained it or the background of the body of the boy — it’s a bit of a mystery. I know that Ripley portrayed Atta Boy as a real human as opposed to an alien. He believed that it was an actual miniature mummified human.”
Part of the mystery of Atta Boy is whether or not he was a shrunken human or a mummified fetus. The origins of this artifact are not known and after the 1930s, he vanished into obscurity — or into someone’s private collection.
“It appears to me to be a mummified fetus as opposed to a shrunken body,” said Edward Meyer, Ripley’s vice president of exhibits and archives. “Having seen actual shrunken bodies, it looks very, very different.”

But what about the coincidences piling up between Ata and Atta Boy? Both are about 6 inches tall, both from reportedly neighboring South American countries, both from the Atacama Desert area, and both with their own mysteries as to their origins. Are there other coincidences that have yet to emerge?
“I wouldn’t even call it coincidence. I just think it’s the same story 70 or 80 years later,” Meyer told HuffPost. “I don’t think that there’s just one. I personally believe [Atta Boy] is more likely a Bolivian mummy than a Jivaro shrunken body.”
Meyer adds that there were only three known cases where an entire body was shrunk.
“The key thing with the three full bodies is that they’re all believed to have been done by a German doctor in Peru. Someone showed him how to do a shrunken head, and he may have wanted to go one step further by trying the whole body.
“To shrink the body, you’ve got to get all of the bones out. Your skin is like leather, it’ll boil, but your bones will not shrink. That’s one of the things with shrunken heads that people don’t understand,” Meyer explained.
“The Jivaro Indians were keeping the head because that is where the soul is supposed to be — the whole purpose of the shrunken head is to capture your enemy’s soul.”
Could Ata and Atta Boy be somehow related? It would certainly help if we knew where Atta Boy currently resides — if anywhere.
Atta Boy is Meyer’s personal Holy Grail and he doesn’t think HuffPost is crazy for suggesting there might be both a geographical and personal relationship between Ata and Atta Boy.
“If anybody knows where the original Atta Boy is, write to me at meyer@ripleys.com. I have to think that there’s a story that’s better than the modern Ata if we could find where this thing is or where it’s been.”
And Ripley’s wants to sweeten the deal a little bit. The first person who supplies Ripley’s with information that leads to the whereabouts of Atta Boy will receive a lifetime pass to any of the 32 worldwide Ripley’s Odditoriums as well as a single-visit pass to each of the Ripley’s Aquariums.
If Atta Boy can be found and DNA samples from him could be compared with little Ata, who knows how this could all evolve.

Man Loses Life Savings, Wins Banana With Dreadlocks

He emptied his bank account, and all he has is this Rasta banana.
Henry Gribbohm, 30, has filed a police report after he says he lost over $2,600 on a carnival game and won only a stuffed banana with dreadlocks, WLKY reported.
The Epsom, N.H., man attended a carnival in Manchester on Saturday where he played a ball-tossing game called “Tubs of Fun.” Gribbohm told WBZ-TV his goal was to win an Xbox Kinect for his kids, but after spending $300 on the game without success, he went home to get another $2,300 — all of the money he had.
“They explained to me I was going to get all my money back,” Gribbohm told WMUR, “I was going to get an Xbox Kinect . . . They lied to me.”
“Tubs of Fun” costs $5 for two balls, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. The player must throw the balls into a tilted bucket.
He returned to the carnival, run by Fiesta Shows, the next day to complain, and the game operator gave him $600 and a large stuffed banana with a hat and dreadlocks. The operator said that was “all they could do” for him, Gribbohm told the Union Leader.
Gribbohm contacted Manchester police, and the department is now investigating to see if any fraud occurred.
Investigators have not been able to locate the employee who was running the game when Gribbohm played, though Fiesta representatives told authorities that Gribbohm did not spend $2,600.
Fiesta Vice President John Flynn told WBZ-TV that “Tubs of Fun” is run by an independent contractor. He noted the company has worked with Fiesta for years, and they have never run into a problem before.
According to the Union Leader, a book called “Carnival Fraud Investigations 101”details how the “Tubs of Fun” game fools patrons: A carnival employee places a ball into the bucket, then invites potential players to toss one in. With the first ball weighing the bucket down, the practice ball stays in the bucket easily.
When the game begins, however, the employee removes both balls, and without the weight of the first ball, most tosses bounce out of the bucket

Ania Lisewska, Polish Woman, Wants To Have Sex With 100,000 Men

It’s good to have a goal in life, but the one purportedly expressed by a woman in Warsaw, Poland, may be a stretch.
Ania Lisewska, 21, is allegedly attempting to travel to every city in the world so she can have sex with at least 100,000 men for 20 minutes each.
“I want men from Poland, Europe and all around the world. I love sex, fun and men,” she said, according to the Austrian Times. “In Poland the subject of sex is still taboo and anyone who wants to fulfill their sexual fantasies is considered a deviant, a whore or mentally ill.”
The supposed sex marathon allegedly began last month in Warsaw, according to her Facebook page, and she hopes to have her way across Poland before moving to other countries.
So far, she’s had sex with 284 men, according to Fakt.pl and didn’t let the fact she has a serious boyfriend stop her.
He told the Polish language website he was “not thrilled” with her unusual hobby, but had no choice and “had to come to terms” with it.
Her Facebook page currently only has slightly more than 9,000 likes, but Lisewska is allegedly attempting to attract potential partners by setting up a website where they can register and kept apprised of her current activities.
The story raises eyebrows for a number of reasons. First, Lisewska’s website isn’t working properly except for the front page.
In addition, she has not responded to media requests.
Then there is the nature of the quest itself. Having sex with 100,000 people for 20 minutes each would take a person more than 3.8 years — and that’s only if they went at it day and night without breaks for sleep, food or personal hygiene.
Lisewska claims she is planning her sexual encounters to take place on weekends, which would stretch out the time frame considerably — up to nearly 20 years, according to one Polish website.
Another reason to be skeptical: Many of the media stories about Lisewska suggest she is attempting to get her erotic efforts recognized by Guinness World Records. The organization has never adjudicated sexually-oriented records.
Lisewska is now claiming to be the victim of foul play on her Facebook page. She claims it was hacked by someone who posted she had AIDS, which she denied by posting test results on the page.
